    Hello, Yes that is the part I ordered. I was thinking the friction piece and screw were for a smaller outboard. It seems this model wasn't very popular. It would have been nice to buy the the whole thing as a unit. The service manual is complete garbage as well.

    Primer Jet

    What does the Primer Jet do? The screw head of mine is stripped some and can't be removed. It is clean. When I pull to start, fuel pools in the lake around engine. plus it doesn't start. Could this cause it? I belive the bulb stays hard. Mariner 40 EO 6E9 150368
