    repowering from OMC Cobra to Merc or volvo diesel

    I have a 1987 OMC cobra stern with the 5.7 liter V8. I need to repower the boat and dont want another used OMC obviously. Since transom cutouts are evidentally the same for the Cobra, Mercruiser, and Volvo diesels...I am thinking if I stay with gas, putting in a lightly used Mercruiser 3.0 130hp...

    mercruiser 120 omc mercruiser 5.7 transom cutouts

    when repowering a boat that had an omc cobra with 5.7 gm. are transom cutouts same for mercruiser as omc and for that matter are the cutouts for mercruiser 120hp same as the mercruiser that has the 5.7 gm v8? What options are there? possible?

    Repower OMC stern Cobra to diesel?

    If when I am finished restoring this 25' trophy convertible I want to repower with a used diesel stern drive is this possible? Transom patterns? Know the obvious such as flushing tank etc. Adding electric for glowplugs etc. Just wonder if its possible, has anyone done it, what stern unit(s)...

    1988 force 125 water tube to water pump

    My 1988 125 force overheats. I dropped the lower unit, Replaced impeller. There doesnt seem to be a close fit from outlet of waterpump housing to the nylon portion on the water tube located in intermediate housing. is there supposed to be a gasket, rubber washer or somehting to make the fit...
