    Gamefisher - Pin Shearin' Mo-fo

I have a 1982 Sears Gamefisher 15 hp that shears pins at the drop of a hat. I know the shear pin protects the prop and the drive shaft and all that, but it seems that they shear too easily. I buy the Frabil shear pins from my local Marine shop. I guess they are brass. Would like to use...

    Mercury or Tohatsu 25 hp.

I'm getting ready to buy a new 25 hp. The motors around here in Austin seem to be close to the same price. Not sure about elsewhere. I will be putting it on a 14' x 36" jon boat. The two motors weigh about the same. I will use it some in saltwater, but primarily freshwater. Also, I might upgrade...

I have a 15 hp Gamefisher outboard that dies after a minute or two when going faster than idle speed. If I keep pumping the bulb while the motor is running, it runs fine, so it is definitely some kind of pressure related problem. I replaced some of the fittings and the bulb recently. Any ideas...

    Stripped Gear?

I have a 1983 15 HP Gamefisher that recently starting having a serios problem. I can go forward at idle speed, but when trying to throttle up, the engine revs and the prop does not spin. It works fine in reverse, so I'm guessing that it might be the forward gear in the lower unit. Anyone have...

    Trailer Hubs

How warm/hot should boat trailer hubs normally be after driving 15 miles or so? I recently replaced my bearings and installed Bearing Buddies, and they seem to have plenty of grease, but I noticed that the hubs are very hot to the touch after driving 15 miles or so.

    Sea King?

I can get a 1970 9 hp. Seak King for $150. It supposedly runs good and is in overall good shape. The problem is I don't know much about Sea King. Is it worth buying? I guess for $150 it's no big loss if it blows up on me or anything. Can you still get parts for these motors?
