    Everything seems free moving and floppy except the gear that pushes on the neutral safety switch on engine it does have quite a bit of resistance when engaging I might try and adjust it as well

    So I took shift rod loose at top of gearcase where it goes down into gear case and shifted it in to drive and reverse by hand it was the same I'll post pic of where I took shift rod loose ya think there could be build up below where rod goes into gear case?

    2000 evinrude (Suzuki) 50hp 4stroke goes into drive really easy but back into neutral is stiff and putting it into reverse I have to really put a lot of force into it I replaced the shift cables and checked all linkage nothing changed, I took it out on the water this weekend and it's same goes...

    I've seen a lot of post about how the top of lower unit should be even with the bottom of transom is my motor too low? It's in the top hole so I could raise it?

    Yea it’s original 2000 odyssey pontoon with 2000 evinrude 4stroke 50 hp I think the 3pin plug is pink fuel black ground and blue is light for gauges
