    Hey bud, thanks for the reply , my brother previously owned the boat and was running sweet , but has sat for 3 yrs , im all new to the outboard scene. Have had numerous battery's in it for same result. And replaced the starter , maybe corroded earth wires to the starter ?

    Hey legends , I have a 1991 100hp mercury, when you first hit the key it cranks over fine until it gets to the point where it's about to fire up and then starts cranking really slowly like there's resistance , was just wondering if this could be a corroded earth wire to the starter itself...
