I am beyond disappointed that a perfectly good 1998 motor is getting deep sixed due to a crummy part being unavailable. If this was a johnson evinrude I would be back in business by now.
The mechanic is doing that now. He said oem parts are unavailable and aftermarket parts are unreliable.
What is the plan? Just buy aftermarket and hope for the best?
Where do I find an exciter, or pulser or cdi for a 1998 70 hp Tohatsu?
First time out.
Once I get up to high speed it revs up, loses speed and I have to throttle back and drive half throttle after that.
Clutch dog? Linkage mis adjusted? Spun hub?
