    Felt Yes was running fine, maybe a little down on power slightly, died few times but restarted. 3rd time checked some things and seen water in oil. I pretty much thought head gasket but didn't want waste time on it if block was cracked. Thanks.

    Need to diagnose wether I have cracked water jacket , head, or head gasket. Or other. Water in oil, not a ton, about quarter inch high on dipstick. Died on me a few times and after a few restarts is when I noticed condition of oil and didn't attempt to run after. Compression in 2 &3 very low...

    1987 3.0 mercruiser has water in oil and 2&3 have low compression. Level on the dipstick isn't real high. Would like to determine if it's a head gasket, cracked block, or cracked head?
