    Well, that didn't work. The load test was a bust. The drop was only down to 11v and it jumped right back up after it started. For it to be bad it should drop to 9.6-10v or lower. Anyway thanks for the info.

    You may be right. The battery is 4 years old. But it doesn't have any issues cranking. I'll run a load test this afternoon. I ran one last year and it was fine. But you just never know. I'm willing to check anything right now.

    He used the G3, no past codes. The problem is when I turn on the key it's one short beep the after a second or so it beeps for about 5-7 seconds. It doesn't happen all the time.

    UPDATE: I got the engine scanned and well, there were no errors. So the search continues. I have no idea where to go from here. I'll update when I find a solution.

    2017 Merc. Temp sensor location.

    In case anyone else wants to know, it's located down next to the dipstick on the port side of the engine. Being in such close proximity to the oil filter I thought it was the oil pressure... Oh well, live and learn.
