    88 Force 50 Powerhead

It is probably more accurate to say you have to remove the motor leg from the powerhead. The motor leg has a bump out under the kingpin which essentially captures the kingpin (which is attached to the cowell and sandwiched between the powerhead and the motor leg). Not how I would have engineered...

    88 Force 50 Powerhead

To get the old swivel plate off the kingpin and install the new swivel, you have to take the powerhead off. Seems like too much work but there is no other way to do it.

    88 Force 50 Powerhead

Im swapping out the manual tilt/trim with a hydraulic/electric tilt/trim. Have to take the powerhead off to do it. I will do all the usual maintenance stuff as I put it back together (carb, fuel pump, spark plugs etc..). Keep your eyes peeled, Im learning as I go and will no doubt need more...

    88 Force 50 Powerhead

Thanks for the info Jerry, I found a tilt/trim unit that will fit but I have to pull the power head and kingpin to swap out the swivels. Have undone all the bolts, shift linkage, and lower end. The head is loose but is caught on something I cant identify (seems to be stern end). Head will not...

    88 Bayliner Capri

Hi good folks, I have an 88 Bayliner Capri that doesn't have a windshield. I thought I would be able to find one here in Colorado but that seems to be overly optimistic. I am a cabinetmaker by trade and am able to fabricate one if I could find the materials. Does anyone have info that could help...

    88 Force 50hp to 95 tilt/trim bracket

Hello, I inherited an 88 Bayliner Capri with an 88 Force 50hp with a manually operated tilt/trim assembly bracket. I found an electric/hydraulic unit on Ebay from a 1995 Bayliner that is in great shape. It is obvious the newer bracket would mount to the transom differently but does anyone know...
