Brand new GLM trim cylinder will not completely retract

Solved Defective shock piston, specifically pressure release for the down side. I suspect that this is the reason GLM only is offering the starboard side from sale and not the port side. Thanks mercstuff.com for wasting a lot of time during my short season. Don't buy GLM trim cylinder from them

Brand new GLM trim cylinder will not completely retract

Jeez I bled these 3 times (not saying I couldn't of done it poorly 3 times but) and I still cannot get the dang thing to trim all the way the way in. When standing on it the farthest in I can get it is everything but about an inch. Bought from mercstuff.com as it's one of the few places you can...

dual I/o power trim and tilt master button

So you're saying to just keep em separated?.... Yeah you're right.... Well I over-thought that just a bit... Thank you

dual I/o power trim and tilt master button

Seastar remote controls do not have a purple white so that's one area I'm confused about

dual I/o power trim and tilt master button

And while keeping the trim pumps using their respective engines battery?

dual I/o power trim and tilt master button

B But then when you have 2 I/o and you have a master trim button to control them both. How is this accomplished while keeping the engine circuits separate?

dual I/o power trim and tilt master button

I need to figure out how to DIY wire the master trim button with diodes. I have twin 3.0l mercs with I/o , bought a seastar/domestic standard remote control, specifically the chx8242p, came with 4 buttons not counting the master trim on the handle. I'm assuming the 2 extra per side are to...

    Constant alarm on Merc 3.0

Super old post but I wasn't sure if I saw a definite resolution here... Was it simply that with the TKS if the key is on but not running it is NORMAL the alarm on one constant beep until engine is running? Just wanted clarification

Does something exist to change angle of exhaust elbow and tube on a 3.0l mercruiser sterndrive?

Does something exist to change angle of exhaust elbow and tube on a current/newer 3.0l mercruiser sterndrive? Long story short are there any options for changing the route of the exhaust elbow and therefore tube connecting to the transom assembly so as to fit better in the engine compartment...

Minimum transom thickness tolerance of alpha mercruiser sterndrive?

Can anyone tell me the absolute minimum transom thickness tolerated in a 2000 and new alpha one gen 2 sterndrive setup? I know the spec is 2 to 2.25 inches but is there any small liberty I can take. 1/8th or just under. Anyone have my experience with this? Transom is in very good health and is...

    Your take on Transom Thickness

And in the end moved the engine up If you've got money to spend on throwaway motors more power to ya your probably not doing your own work

    Your take on Transom Thickness

Gotcha thanks. Yeah that wouldn't be ideal. Is it acceptable in any scenario to add layers to outside of the hull with gel removed first.? As yes the inside of transom left in the "rough" seems like I'd have to go pretty deep to start in there

    Your take on Transom Thickness

Yeah, one of the reasons that I stopped considering a couple 6s beyond all the other associated glasswork on a new doghouse. Those things sure are cheaper sometimes. Spec these days in boat manufacturing at it's smallest is normally like 28 on center right? At least on inlines I suppose....

    Your take on Transom Thickness

I only wish I had the money to do things the way these boats want to be outfitted

    Your take on Transom Thickness

They were inlines 4s then and they will be now.... Eventually...... I am confused Bondo with what you are saying outward? They are 26 inch on center

    Your take on Transom Thickness

I really do agree with y'all but hindsight is 2020...

    Your take on Transom Thickness

Yeah I probably should have but with a thought of originality and dual drive handling interest I just kept going with the 4s..... Plus I really am not good or efficient at glassing and building mounts for the mounts on a single from dual would have been an undertaken structurally. Costs are...

    Your take on Transom Thickness

Background; repowering/upgrading a 1963 25 Bertram from the original 4s to moderns in the engine bay and from a Frankenstein PREALPHA starting at the gimble ring to alpha one gen 2s. I know back in those years 1.75inch transom thickness was acceptable but of course these years it's like 2 to...
