    Shifting problem

    I have a mercruiser 5.7. changed both control cables. Cannot get all working. When installed on the shifter, it seems like the cable is to short. When I shift to forward it stops and the gas does not not work. Hope I am explaining this right

    Checking the trim motor and found the motor has three wires one is the ground. Found that the motor runs constantly and there is power at the ground

    Pulled the outdrive and serviced the water pump. When I started the motor the prop didn't turn nor did the drive shaft. Sounds like the engine coupler. Pulled drive out and it does not look to bad. Now what to do

    Changed water pump. After putting all back together it shifts into foward fine. But in reverse the prop clicks in both directions. It was in foward gear when put together

    Yes the gear sector was in foward gear. When in reverse it clicks in both directions

    Changed water pump on an alphaone gen2. Drive goes into foward and neutral. When in reverse it only clicks
