    New Silverline owner/refurbisher

Good Lord......another year gone and still no splash. Naturally things kept popping up (more like life) that kept me from getting to the updates more often. So with that being said here is the latest and greatest, yet another year later. Had an issue with the "clutch" springs all over...

    adjusting carb floats (AQ170A)

Ok quick Summary of the motor.....AQ170A..Solex (44PA1) downdraft carbs (trips). All three carbs rebuilt and all orifices cleaned/blown out. Just need to adjust the floats on the carbs to allow more fuel in the bowl. The fuel is low in the bowl, but can't for the life of me remember which...

    1960's/70's era Taylor Made spotlight?

Boy oh oh boy, is this one a pain to find any info on. It is off my 71 Silverline refurb project (and is on several other vintage boats from this time period from what I gather). I contacted Taylor Made and it was produced in the 60's and they had no info for me, surprise. LOL It is the...

    1971 Samoa 19V.....spotlight?

Almost there as far as completing the project. Ran into an issue with the classic spotlight/flood light/search light that was on it. It is toast. LOL Been looking all over the place for one similar to it, but, now, most are "wireless" or lighter plug ins This one was actually hard wired in...

    zerks for lubing up trim?

I've been restoring a 1971 Silverline Samoa 19V over the last year or so. Almost complete with the project. It has the 280 drive and AQ170 motor (Chrysler inline 6 with trip carbs). It did have the 270 drive but was replaced with the 280 by the previous owner. Electric trim (vs the hydraulic...

    1971 Silverline Samoa 19V......starter

Now that I have most of the cosmetic thing done on this (what's going to be) beauty, I started on the hearbeat of the boat. I didn't start, so I took out the starter and it was froze up. Cleaned it up, sprayed some "break free" on it and now it spins. Tested it out and the gear isn't pushing...

Post a pic of your Silverline!

The day I picked this 1971 Samoa 19V....a lot of work done already. Seats trashed, floor removed, and replaced (including the foam and floor stringers) storage "shelf" replaced, and now polished up. A couple electrical issues to work out, buy a couple of seats, build the rear bench, and...

    New Silverline owner/refurbisher

These are just some of the photos I've taken during the process. Now, it's about the wiring (lights, starter, and trim, all else works), oil change, grease up the prop/hub,making rear bench seat and engine cover, and buying up a captain's chair and passenger back to back lounge seat.

    Quick prop question

I picked up a 1971 Silverline Samoa 19V. It has the Chrysler/Volvo 280 stern (171AQ motor). The thing is, I couldn't find the prop size stamped on the prop, just a part number. I measured it out to be a 13" prop, just not sure of the pitch. Any ideas on finding out the pitch? Or will I have...

    New Silverline owner/refurbisher

Hello everyone. New here, and new Silverline owner. It's a 1971 Samoa 19' I/O. Has the Chrysler/Volvo 171AQ with the 280 stern....originally was a 270, but that was replaced with the 280. The new stern has about 100 hours on it. It sat in the weather for literally 17 years, before I and my...
