How in the world does one disconnect the shift linkage so I can remove the lower unit? I can barely see the bolt under the lower carb and am pretty sure there is no way to get a wrench on it. Thanks for any ideas
Can anyone tell me how to remove the lower unit from my 1985 40 hp Johnson? I have removed the 4 bolts from the sides of the unit and the larger bolt from the rear center of the unit and it is still just as tight as was when I started.<br /><br />Thanks
