    Diningroom table - with epoxy?

That is a beautiful table Joe. Very well done! Also, thanks for the feedback on the Odies. I think I might give it a whirl on my next project, I'm getting tired of putting poly on stuff...

    Diningroom table - with epoxy?

That should look slick with the metal frame. Just a thought here, but you may want to consider using threaded inserts and furniture bolts to attach the legs. Makes removal and re-attachment of legs for moving much easier, plus you won't have to worry about stripping screw threads with...

    Diningroom table - with epoxy?

Looks great! A coat of clear shellac is great to seal anything you don't want epoxy on. Dries quick and easy to sand off.

    Diningroom table - with epoxy?

Definitely agree with doing some sample pieces. So much easier to make a couple of scraps than to screw up the project.

    Diningroom table - with epoxy?

I added a bit of black dye to darken the blue, and the green is verrrrry subtle, more of a hint really. The light has to hit it just right. I did that in two pours because I miscalculated my volume and had to order more epoxy. 🤬 I added the mica when mixing. The first pour had more black in it...

    Diningroom table - with epoxy?

I would not do an upside down pour, as there will be bubbles on the underside that will not pop [at least in my experience]. On my tables, the top of the epoxy was a around a 1/16th below the wood. You can kind of see it in the first picture. I used a blue dye and then added blue, green and...

    Diningroom table - with epoxy?

Blacktail studios on YouTube has some great tutorials on big pours, I've found him very helpful. Here are some things that I learned on my first few attempts at epoxy tables. How thick you can pour depends on your epoxy, with the danger being too much heat build up. It never hurts to do two...

Wow! I don't know how I have missed this thread, but I just read through it and have to say what a fantastic looking boat! The steam power just puts it over the top. Congrats on a successful splash.

I am a first time boat owner, and am doing a full rebuild of my boat. While I am at it, I thought I would redo the trailer as well. I want to convert to bunks rather than the rollers that are currently on there. Here are some pics of the trailer as it sits now Here are a couple that show...

Rank is not advancing with post count

I was just curious why my ranking did not go up when my post count went past 30. I am now at 45 posts but am still ranked as a cadet. Is this an issue since the update, or is it just me?

'83 Lund "Sirius" total gut and rebuild

Hello iboaters, I have had this boat for about four years. I was going to replace a piece of floor that the PO had "repaired", and I came upon this site while I was looking up information about marine grade plywood. It didn't take long to realize that I would have to replace much, much more than...
