    Merc 50hp blueband tach

    Hi guys. I looked under the hood for the rectifier as suggested. Nope..nothing there. On strbd side under solenoid is a round object with cosmoline(?) covering. My engine has a pulley and belt on top of the distributor. Where can I get power/signal to the tach?

    Merc 50hp charging system

    Hi all<br />I have a 50hp Merc Blue Band ser#3482234. I looked it up on John's Old Merc site and it stated that it came in non charging and charging circuit. Since it is elec start, I assume their is an alternator/generator. How do I determine?<br />16' Safetmate/50hp Merc 1976 22' Grady White
