    early mercury controls????

    i rrecently removed a 1973 merc 200 20 hp and instaled a 1981 merc 50 hp the cables are connected correctly but foreward on the controll is reverse on the outboard can this be corrected???? currently forward pushes cable towards the outboard.. could a previous owner got something wrong...

    i recently swaped outboards on my boat.......

    I swaped out a 73 merc 200 20hp with a 81 merc 50 hp. first the controlls are reverse... reverse on the merc controll is foreward foreward is reverse can this be easly corrected????? also the teltale streamk takes a long time to spray water from when the engine is started.. also engine...
