    possible throttle issue?

Hi Guys, I have a 1971 StarCraft Cheiftan with a mercruiser 165 I/O. I think I have a problem, when I put the throttle forward or reverse it doesn't engage until about 45 degrees and WOT is around 160 degrees. When I watch the actual throttle linkage on the throttle lever I can feel the back...

    a little outdrive id help . .

Hi Guys, was wondering if someone could tell me which model outdrive I have. I just bought the boat last fall and it's my first boat so I'm kinda new to this. It's on a 1971 starcraft chieftain with a mercruiser 165 i6 and the outdrive is a mercruiser as well. I believe it's a pre-alpha model...

    a little outdrive ID help

HI Guys, I'm sure this is an easy one, but I'm getting ready to order my water pump kit to replace the one in my outdrive and I'm not sure what outdrive to order it for. I've seen places where it's id'd as a pre-alpha, and an 888, and an alpha 1, so i'm not really sure which one I have. It...

    Chieftan throttle relocate?

Re: Chieftan throttle relocate? This is the only pic i have at the moment, i'll have to get out and take a better perspective picture. I believe that maybe the seats just aren't factory height because the shifter certainly looks like it. The top of the shifter base is even with the bottom of...

    Chieftan throttle relocate?

Anyone out there with a Chieftan moved the horribly placed throttle lever? It's in such an awkward place but I'm not really sure where to begin. Anyone know of a thread out there where someone did it? Not sure of what to look out for or if maybe there's a kit? ;)

First (recorded) tinny splash - second actual

ok, so in following with the "if there's no pictures it didn't happen" rule, here is my "first" splash for my '71 Chieftan. Much better weather this time.:) Not sure if the video will play, but there it is! I can't account for the quality of the video, my friend just got his first...

    New Trailer tires

Hi just posting this because I'm amazed. I just ordered 4 new trailer tires from trailertiresandwheels.com and first they were only $33 a piece and I received them the next day! Now it probably helps that they shipped from near me, but for what I paid for 2 tires from Walmart I got all 4...

    1977 Starcraft Cabin Cruiser 25'
