New owner of older boat. I replaced a 550 amp battery with a 750 amp battery. I am now having battery charge issues. Is the alternator associated with this engine capable of charging a 750 amp battery ? I think I shot myself in the foot getting a larger capacity battery that the engine cannot...
Everything seemed fine with this engine and it ran strong. Two hours into my trip propeller seemed to only engage up to about 2800 rpm. When the throttle was pushed harder the rpm's would go up but the boat would not move any faster. Seemed like it was "slipping" and not engaging. Made it back...
