I have a 1969 100 hp merc that I took out for the first time. its on a 15' bass boat and man did she fly!! But then I started hearing funny noises and I got her trailered and home and this is what I found. not sure what happened and dont know everything that needs replaced. definitely a bearing...
I have a 69 merc 1000 that I ordered pump kit (46-96148A8) for. my question is that my old housing had a seal between insert and housing that went around the driveshaft + the seal on top of the housing. my new one has no inner seal and i don't know if it should or not.
