    Merc 60 4 Stroke EFI Impeller repalcement/ lower unit removal problem

    I cannot get the lower unit to drop on a Merc 60 4 stroke. Removed 5 bolts, shook it, pounded it, wedged it. Moved maybe 1/4 inch. Is there something with the shift linkage that needs to be done? Help. I need to go fishing.
