I have a '98 Bayliner Ski Challenger that came with an oem depth finder. It powers on, I can adjust the shallow depth up or down, and I can turn the alarm on and off, but it won't give me a depth reading. Is the transducer maybe bad? If so, can I just cut the wires and splice in a new one...
