    Thanks everyone steering back to normal. About 18 months ago seawater pump sprung a leak & sprayed Saltwater mist everywhere & rust appeared. I need to go round with rust converter & paint. Boat has been a bit neglected as I have been overseas a lot this year.

    Thanks for the advice guys. Gently tapping cable end with a brass drift & plenty of wd40 got it out. It appears the last inch or so of the tube is a smaller so once I got past that it fell out. Pushing cable end back & forth with more wd40 freed it up completely. What do you use for lube...

    Thanks for reply. Yes I have removed clevis pin. Steering wheel still locked. If corrosion in tube seems to be the issue surely l have to free stuck cable end? I am assuming cable end is normally a slide fit in aluminium tube which is why I could tap it out with a bit of brass.

    My steering has jammed bravo 3. I have undone nut securing cable to power steering assembly but I can't pull cable out as it appears the rod is stuck in housing (circled in pic). I am going to soak it in penetrant. Is it ok to gently tap end of rod to try & free it up?

    Steering on my Bravo 3 has locked solid at the helm. Went to undo cable nut to check cable but whole cylinder nut is attached to rotates at same time. Any tips on how to stop cylinder moving?

    Been a long time with this problem that uncovered other major problem with engine but I have just had injectors cleaned & she starts when hot now. The guy who cleaned the injectors said they were not that bad & he didn't think it would affect hot starting.

    Thanks for reply. With camera I could see no valves open with piston coming up to tdc. I rotated crank 180 deg to check & I could see exhaust valve open as piston came up to tdc.

    Had to reinstall distributor but can't get the distributor rotor to line up with marks on housing. I have no 1 piston exactly on tdc using a borescope camera but when I try & adjust rotor position by pulling distributor out & rotating a tooth either way it won't line up with marks as in pics...

    Yep pics were big help. Got it off within 5 minutes. Reassembling was a pia as very little room to move in front of engine bay even a struggle getting serpentine belt on. Thanks guys for the replies & help. Great forum.
