    Older Mercury Outboard Manuals? (1986)

    Does anybody know where to find older mercury outboard manuals, or know if they even exist online. Ive found one of the manual but it is much newer covering years 1996-2000 something, it was very little help. Any clues?

    Help with a '86 Merc. 50HP

    Ive just acquired an older boat with a 86' mercury on it. Brought it home and tried to get it cranked. I know already that the solenoid is bad and will get a new one tomorrow. So to get the starter motor to turn over i by passed it with jumper cables and touched the positive side of the started...
