    470 488 knocking noise comeing from back of motor

    Trying to find what this noise is comeing from. Is it possiable that the fly wheel is hitting the case or engine cuppler doing the same. I will some time today start boat and shoot video with sound mabey this will help...

    I am thinking that i might have to rebild motor over heated and now is knocking. How big of a job is this ? i have the out drive off and i am putting a new water pump in today. i will be starting this boat to today to see if it still knocks when is being cooled the right . i have been told this...

    Just rebild water pump on motor. Now have a small knock comimg from motor it was rebilt last year. Was thinking maby bad gas or something ??? starts and runs great and now runs cool at 180 so i don't think its over heating
