Hey guys my power pack is dead and my engine is running on 1 cylinder but i trolled with it like this 1 or 2 times before bringing it to the shop to find out the problem....would this dmg or cause more problems if it ran on 1 cylinder?

Im new to this forum. I just bought an Evinrude 9.9 this summer for my boat. I could not get it running good for trolling it was running rough and bogging out, kicking some times ( like id be goind slow then it would kick in and go faster for a second).
