Sealegs don't lift high enough with Frame/Canopy setup

Yeah that would definitely work but I want to be able to remove it too. I have a sand beach and who knows where I might move the canopy so I need something I can move easily. Not only that I am sure the DNR would not like 2tons of concrete dumped in the lake.

Sealegs don't lift high enough with Frame/Canopy setup

I have a Bennington 20ft pontoon with 25" pontoons. It has standard 6ft (I think they are around 6ft) Sealegs installed. On the shore line I have a frame/canopy that I park under. It looks like a lift but does not have any lifting capability. My problem is I can't get the rear of my pontoon...

    Yamaha T50 won't exceed 3500 rpm

Update I put a 10pitch prop on and now I get 4500rpm and 17mph much better but still a little shy of 5500rpm. Some manufacturers have 8 or 9 pitch but at this point it probably won't make much of a difference. I guess it's just too heavy of a boat.

    Yamaha T50 won't exceed 3500 rpm

The propeller came with the boat. (bought boat used) Using the Solas propeller finder it recommends I use 14"diameter with pitch between 9-11. https://www.solaspropellers.com/index.php/boat/prop-finder

    Yamaha T50 won't exceed 3500 rpm

I could not find any Yamaha Performance bulletins for my setup. They have one for a 70hp pontoon https://yamahaoutboards.com/outboards/115-30-hp/70-50-hp/f70/pb_gdy_swt_sw2086fc_f70la_2013-08-28_pnt and 40hp pontoon...

    Yamaha T50 won't exceed 3500 rpm

50hp "high thrust" came stock from pontoon manufacturer. Even brand new pontoons today come with 50hp. Of course they have other size outboards available but 50-115hp is pretty typical.

    Yamaha T50 won't exceed 3500 rpm

The boat is a 2005 Bennington 2050RL pontoon apx 2000lbs & 20 ft long. It gets going 13 miles per hour according to the GPS speedometer on my phone at 3500 RPM

    Yamaha T50 won't exceed 3500 rpm

Brand new Aluminum prop 13.25" diameter with 17-pitch I have never done a compression test but this engine only has about 400 hours starts instantly never burns any oil the outboard is in very good condition. Just had oil change and lower unit gear lube change. There is nothing wrapped in my...

    Yamaha T50 won't exceed 3500 rpm

I have a 2005 Yamaha 50hp outboard model: T50TLRD. EFI four stroke. At wide open throttle the engine peaks at 3500 rpm. I am thinking it should go 4500-5000 rpm The engine starts right away and seems to be running smooth on all 4 cylinders (no shaking or misfires). I just bought this 50hp...

Yamaha T50 any way to increase charging/stator output ?

Is there a way to get more charging capacity out of a Yamaha outboard? As my electrical needs are greater than what this outboard can produce. I have a pontoon with a 2005 Yamaha T50TLRD 50hp outboard. I have lots of power sucking electric gadgets (massive stereo/subwoofer extra amps, sea legs...

Mercruiser 4.3L TKS 2BBL Carburetor Engine Sporadic Behavior

Took the connector off the pressure switch and jumpered the 2 wires together. Now I can hear the fuel pump working and the engine does not die after 30 sec of running. Boat runs pretty good now however Mike Nola is correct there is still an intermittent miss in the ignition spark (even when...

Mercruiser 4.3L TKS 2BBL Carburetor Engine Sporadic Behavior

I think I have narrowed it down to the Oil Pressure switch p/n 87-8M0070108 that runs the electric fuel pump. The switch that drives the fuel pump is different than the oil pressure sender for the oil pressure gauge on the panel. So even if your oil pressure gauge looks like the engine has...

Mercruiser 4.3L TKS 2BBL Carburetor Engine Sporadic Behavior

I have narrowed it down to a fuel problem the engine is starving. I can keep it going if I spray carb cleaning down the carb when it wants to stall:

Mercruiser 4.3L TKS 2BBL Carburetor Engine Sporadic Behavior

The spark eventually dies when it stalls as the engine is not cranking. I think if it was spark it would be dropping and then coming back intermittently. I have changed the ignition module, rotor, cap, coil and it still does this. Here is another video showing spark and voltage on distributor...

Mercruiser 4.3L TKS 2BBL Carburetor Engine Sporadic Behavior

Here is a short video of the engine idling and stalling at 35 seconds into video. I have a light bulb tester on the center pin of the cap so you can see the distributor is working. Don't think it is the ignition/key switch as I jumped the ignition switch wire so distributor had 12v no matter...

Mercruiser 4.3L TKS 2BBL Carburetor Engine Sporadic Behavior

My 2010 Mercruiser 4.3L V6 TKS 2BBL Carburetor Engine is giving me sporadic problems. My symptoms are all over the map. Things like: 1) Runs fine for 3-4 hours pulling kids tubing then starts to stall and I can't go above 1500 rpm once this happens the engine won't run for more than 1 min before...

2010 4.3L TKS Thunderbolt Ignition Troubleshooting

Fixed it I am not really sure what the problem was but I think it might have been the TB V control module as that is the only part I did not change because it is no longer available. I installed the EST distributor with built in control module and ditched all the TB Iignition system. Reused...

2010 4.3L TKS Thunderbolt Ignition Troubleshooting

It's definitely not fixed. I just got stranded out on the lake and it won't start had to get towed home. Tried disconnecting the interrupt switch and still would not start

2010 4.3L TKS Thunderbolt Ignition Troubleshooting

I am not sure it is fixed either. I measured ohms between the WHT/BLK wire (the side that is coming from the Interrupt switch) to ground and it was completely open. Absolutely no connectivity to ground. I was expecting to see this connected to ground if the interrupt switch had failed. I went...
