    Viking 6 o/b motor

    Just got a Viking 6 outboard motor in a boat i just bought, model 64021, ser# 1478. Looks to have been very well cared for externally, did a compression test and got about 30psi in both cylinders, is this worth going any further with ?, it does have spark. Welcome any comments, thanks.

    I have a guy bringing over this motor i am thinking of buying for me to try out on my 13' fishing boat, can you think of anything i can check out or know of any common faults with this particular motor before i part with $400 Thanks, JJ.

    76' Mercury 4.5hp flooding

    When i prime the motor with the rubber bulb gas floods out the top of the carb assembly, with a clean plug motor will start and run good for about 5 seconds before it floods out and gas runs out the drain hole on side of motor. Thanks for your help., JJ.
