    It's firing on cylinders # 2,4 and 6 now. If changing the wires and it still fires on 2, 4 & 6 I'm unclear as to why this points to the stator as faulty?

    Thanks for these suggestions. Sorry, I'm new to this, can you point me to the locations of both switch boxes and stator. Makes sense switching switch box to determine if this is the issue. Is there a test for stators?

    Only has spark in the even numbered cylinders. Any ideas what to look for? New plugs, new fuel. Any thoughts where to start?

    Mercruiser 5.7L with low voltage to coil

    Thanks, the engine uses an upgraded MSD 83606 marine distributor and coil. It's run fine until this season. Any suggestions where to start in sourcing a phantom bad connection? Would there be any wiring schematics floating around for this?

    I measure 12.5V at the battery and 11.3V at the coil and with key left on for a bit the voltage drops to 10.8V. Any suggestions why I'm not seeing battery voltage at the coil and the voltage is being lost? Where to check?

    Can anyone tell me what is included from Mercury with a new engine purchase? My dealer says no prop is included... seems silly but OK. Is a gas tank included? Thanks!

    Temp gauge problem, please help!

    Water temp gauge works (reads resistance) until it hits 150, but as temp continues to increase, it goes to 0. Pick up speed and once engine temp drops the gauge starts working, but it will only read below 150 deg. I have a 160 deg thermostat, so the temp reading of the gauge with the engine...
