I used to be a big fan of Lowrance products, but Humminbird has them beat hands down now.
I wanted to swap props this weekend and pulled the one off the motor and could not get the hub out of the prop. I thought that the solas system was made to use the same hub on different props. Is there a trick to get the hub out or do I just need to buy another hub?

Either the 587 or 597 Humminbird are very good units. I have the 581, which is the B/W version of the 597. I like the bigger screen, so I would go with the 597. When you are in the split screen view it's nice to have it bigger.

I am having an issue with high slip when I run over 4000 rpm's. Ventilation seems to be the issue.
