My 1993 135 hp outboard starter cuts out and sounds like it's just spinning when I go to start it. This happens about half the time. Any remedy for this or does the starter need replacement?Thanks.
I have a soft spot on my Proline boat floor about 4" x 4". Is it feasable to drill holes around the perimeter of the area, treat the area with a wood rot product, then after drying inject the area with epoxy resin? ?Thanks.
My 1993 Mercury 135 hp smokes on start up. How much smoke if any should there be when the motor is cold? After warm up it smokes slightly at low speed. No smoking at all at medium and high speeds. Thanks.
I have a 1993 that sits lower in the back than I like when in it is in calm water. I was wondering what the draft is on this boat or how much of the hull sits above water. What I have may be normal but I was wondering. Thanks.
My boat has an area about 12"x12" that is soft when steeped on. The floor is fiberglass but has plywood underneath. Some of the seat fittings were lose. I have since fixed and sealed everything. It doesn't pose any real problem but I was wondering if I should do anything or just let it ride? Thanks.
I have a 1993 Mercury 135 hp and need to hoist the engine to replace the steering cable. Where can I find an eye bolt that I need to hoist the engine? The only place I found was a Mercury dealer and they have to special order it. Thanks.
How do you remove the steering cable from the motor? I have a 135hp Mercury outboard. I loosened the cable from the steering wheel and got the cable about half way out but now it's binding and I can't get it the rest of the way out.
