The iboats forum moderators are excited to announce that at this time it appears the iboats forums posting pictures function is working once again. Though we cannot promise for how long, we're hoping for indefinitely.
I have a 19' Four Winns Fish n Ski, which is basically a bowrider.
The boat does have a livewell under the rear bench seat.
I don't ever intend to use the livewell and thought it would be good to put a subwoofer in there.
Any thoughts?
1) Performance issue you are trying to correct. Better holeshot. My daughter just started waterskiing and the boat seems to struggle to get her up quickly
2) Current prop manufacturer, model, aluminum or stainless as a minimum. Aluminum
3) Current prop diameter and pitch (required). 14 x...
So I thought today, of all days (its 100 degrees out), would be a good day to do a prop change. First time ever changing props.
Everything went great and I have the motor in the trailering position because it was easier to work on at eye level.
Anyways, the cotter pin that goes on the prop...

I have 2 daughters, 1 10 year old and 1 soon-to-be 19 year old.
According to WI laws, my 10 year old can operate the boat with only my 18 year old onboard (if I designate), but my 18 year old cannot...
Rented a waterfront cabin for the week, so it is the first time my trailer queen boat has sat in the water. Day 1, all was fine. Day 2, the fish finder is reading all sorts of goofy stuff and the speedo doesn't work.
Pull the boat out and it appears some muskrats chewed off both my speedo...
Went through a free Coast Guard checkup of my new-to-me boat and I had all the required safety equipment, etc except for my battery terminals were not covered. I have a dual battery setup and the way he explained it is that my "accessory" battery has to have both the positive and negative...
OK, toward the middle of last season, when running on full load (WOT, tubing, etc) my temp would shoot up in excess of 210, but while going at a no wake speed it would stay around 150.
So, I had the impeller replaced in late summer. Boat ran at 150 at no wake speed and dipped below 120 under...
Amazingly, multiple google searches did not yield me an answer.
Has anybody used a boat tube for sledding??
Just spent a day at the hill on hard, cheap, plastic sleds and on the way home thought about my 3 person deck tube:)
Anyone have any experiences to share?
I've spent the last 2 hours scouring the web and I can't find where to order replacement T-stats for my Johnson. I'd prefer the kit with o-ring, springs, etc.
It is a 1996 Johnson 115hp Ocean Runner 60degree - J115SLEDR.
Can someone provide me with a link of what I need to order??
Thanks much
As I cruise at low speeds at check out scenery, etc my temp gauge typically reads in the 210 range. Running on muffs at idle it stays at almost exactly 150. Cruising fast and pulling tube, etc it typically dips down in the 120 range.
Do I have some faulty thermostats, faulty gauge, faulty ...
New to me boat. Had it out 4-5 times and the boat ran great, but I can't say I really paid much attention to the gauges.
Out today on lake Michigan and noticed the temp gauge reading just above the 210 line while moving at a no wake speed back into the dock.
Is this a sign of trouble or normal?
This sat and sun is the Milwaukee Airshow

The FAQ's say
Can I watch the Air Show from my boat?
Since the Milwaukee Air & Water Show is flown over Lake Michigan, it is great to watch from a boat. Please keep your boat behind the safety area marked by the U. S...
Ordered the Smart Tabs while at work without viewing my boat.
19.5' Four Winns Fish N Ski.
Perfect transom for mounting the tabs with 1 exception : The swim ladder folds down right where the tabs would go. Any ideas how to "extend" the swim ladder out 6 inches or so to clear the tabs??
New boat owner and I realize the hundreds of posts on smart tabs are out there.
I have a Four Winns 190 Fish N Ski with an OB Johnson 115hp. This is my first boat and it has been great the 3 times I've used it since purchase.
I would classify our boating style in 2 ways:
1) tubing for the...
I know, dumb question.
Never been in scouts and tying my shoe is about the extent of my knot tying abilities.
Just bought my first boat (Four Winns fish n ski) and it has a ski pylon. What is the best way to attach the rope to the pylon?
Thanks
Looking to buy my first boat.
Going tonight to inspect.
