    valve adjustment 3.0 litre

    The Mercruiser service manual says if you're adjusting all the valves, bring #1 piston to TDC and torque all rocker arm nuts to 40 ft/lbs no further adjustment required, wouldn't this be the same if cylinders 2 & 3 were TDC?

    Mercruiser 3.0 dumped oil

    I have a 99 Bayliner Capri with a 3.0 L Mercruiser engine, traveling at 3500 rpm the engine lost revs very quickly, I shut it down and discovered the entire crankcase of oil had dumped into the bilge. I couldn't find (feel) any broken oil lines, obvious holes anywhere, has anyone heard of this...
