    Thanks , from memory ( of only late last year ) my pick up tube is plastic going down to a filter at the bottom in the tank. If it ever stops raining here , I’ll get out and take the cover of and have a look! 🤙🏽

    Well I will say mine has had similar issues , at times, possibly it jams then frees itself . I normally find I have two issues going on, I do know that fitting , I tried to remove it last year to aid cleaning the tank. Tight as a tiger it is. I’ll have to try harder . Thanks 🤙🏽

    Thanks for the info, now the old fuel last year they said was bad, so they did as you did and fitted the outboard tank to run it up in there work shop. Told me to empty and clean the tank , which I did . I didn’t think the fuel looked to bad , and not really any dirt in there as I cleaned it out...

    Great I’ll get the bowl off , I can’t behave I used Kellogg cardboard and got away with it, was on there at least two years🤣, I’m sure they are hex nuts not straight screw slots

    Yes that helps, they used an ultrasonic ( I think that’s correct terminology ) to clean it . I have stripped it in the past and cleaned it ( years ago over Xmas and cut up cardboard for the gaskets from a Kellogg packet , I was really wanting it back on the water 🤣. Really appreciate your time...

    Thanks all dodge , back on the boat tomorrow , however the rust in my mind is due to water leaking from the waterway across to the exhaust way. The upper route of the intake does appear to have water leaking into it

    That’s part of what the problem Is there is no way to tell where the crack is or hole, it’s internal between the exhaust and water way, no cracking or anything that looks wrong where the manifold joins the head, except of course for the rust showing in the exhaust ports

    SX outdrive stuck or was now broke :(

    I might also add I had no noise or vibration from the drive , I just wanted to remove it and grease it all as I hadn’t done so for around four years 🤙🏽😩
