I am trying to update my steering from pulley to teleflex or uflex. Are the components interchangeable. Most importantly the transom support tubes. I am looking for used parts but i want to know if they all have to be from the same manufacturer. Thanks

I have a 1965 33hp Johnson. I am tuning up the carb but I have a problem. The threaded bushing inside the low speed valve housing just spins. Does it need to be "glued" back in place or is it just suppose to stay in place by the packing and nut??
