    75 merc starter maybe turning wrong way

    is this possible can the starter turn the wrong way? It turns but wont engage. last time i used it worked just fine. i jumped the starter from the battery and it looked like it turnes the wrong way. Any suggestions? Thanks

    75 mercury

    hello everyone this is my first time. I have a 1975 85 hp mercury. It seems to run just fine but there is a small hole just above the top spark plug that water comes out of. Im not sure but is this normal and if not what do i need to do to repair this. Any help would be greatly appreciated...
