    Flashing oil/temp light

    My port engine (225hp carb) fuel/temp guage flashes intermittently fuel light then temp light when I turn theke switch. I have been told that this indicates a shorted temp sensor, but have replaced and the same occurs. Any thoughts? Thanks Ray
