    Gear oil 30 Mariner

    Does anyone know how many oz. of gear oil my '90 Mariner 30E 689- will hold? Just changed it and it seems like it got full with very little. In fact it took so little I drained it again and refilled to be sure w/ the same result. Just curious.

    Mariner 30E 689- how can you tell if the thermostat is bad? Surely it wouldn't pee if the t-stat is bad, or will it?     just rebuilt my carb on a 82 or 90 year model mariner (not sure on that have posted this question w/ no reply on another forum) serial # 30E 689-L411190 however can not find where the very small o-ring that came with the kit goes. Can some one please advise? Thanks in advance for the replies.
