    140 Mercruser Prop question

    I have a 1970 17 foot vhull :confused:boat 13.75 by 21 prop, I was wondering if there is a better size and pitch or if this is the max application, we usually just putt around, not real concerned with top speed.

    120-140 Mercruser 1970 prop nut torque ?

    I am new to boating and have a 1970 120 hp 140 what ever that means. I noticed today that I had a clicking sound when I rotated the prop by hand, then I noticed that the nut would turn a small distance by hand. I was going to put the air wrench on it but i thought I better ask someone first.
