    spun prop

    I have been reading on here about a spun prop, which might be my problem and I am wondering if there is any repair for this, other then the obvious of getting a new prop?

    2003 25h.p mercury

    I have a problem with my outboard, when I accellerate at about 1/2 speed I get a whinning noise and it seems like the prop is slipping. I have checked the lower end oil and it seems ok and the prop and nut that hold it in place are good.Any hints or suggestion as to what is wrong? Thanks Braves 63
