    high rpms but low speed

    boat ran great end of season when i moved boat from fla. to n.c. now after all the winter junk out of engine and no sputters why low speed and above wot rpms ?.....have only 70 hours on the 5.0L mercruiser. always serviced in fla. by dealer. what gives ?....

    high rpms but low speed now

    have 98 5.0L merc I/O since new. ran great end of last boating season. over winter put in the usual winterizer. engine a little sluggish but put in new gas and engine sputters went away, but now my rpms go way above wot and my speed is way down. why now this problem ?. always have had this boat...
