    92 omc won't shift in forward only reverse

    Hi my ? is when the boat is in the water it will only shift in reverse not in forward i tryed turning on the Ing. and shifting it in forward and spining the prop its kinda spins forward and backwards but when i shift it in reverse it only spins one way ??? any help would be great thanks.terry

    4.3 OMC I/O only goes in reverse

    I was told by someone that I should have posted this on this I/O topic, so here goes another try. I have a cobra 4.3 omc and it only goes in reverse.     I have a cobra 4.3 omc and it only goes in reverse. Does anybody have any idea what might be the problem? Also, how difficult would it be for me to fix the problem? Thanks for any advice.. My wife is chomping at the bit to get it fix, ASAP. :eek:
