    Replacing rotted transom in an 85 starcraft islander some of the screws / bolts that go through the stern and transom wood with a nut on the back side to secure it in place were bent and or stripped so going to replace them all but not sure what to order is stainless steel ok or would something...

    85 islander with an outboard. So I've got the old transom out it was 3 separate pieces bottom where motor mounts and one on eachside of the splash well. It was apparently done before and looks like they took alot of shortcuts. Wasnt sure how it was originally so should it be 3 pcs again or...

    85 islander with outboard transom repair

    Just picked up my first boat to fish walleye on lake erie. Boat is in pretty good shape for its age but needs the transom replaced. I have found alot of info on the I/O versions but haven't been able to find much on the outboard hulls has anone here tackled one that could share some tips or photos
