    I have an approx 20 year old 2.2. When I set the throttle to full it slips off to a lower RPM. Any suggestions on how to tighten the throttle?<br />The owners manual doesn't get into any details at all.<br /><br />Keith

    9.9 Throttle tension

    Hi. My question earlier (July 7th) about my throttle slippage got partly answered but I think it got lost in the pile of recent postings.<br /><br />Middleground, or anyone else, I would appreciate advice for my '83 evinrude 9.9.<br /><br />Thanks,<br /><br />Keith

    Evinrude 9.9 throttle tension

    My 9.9 slips to idle unless I hold the throttle grip constantly. How do I tighten it?<br />It does not appear to be the throttle arm as I replaced it with another.<br /><br />Thanks, Keith
