    What is the max RPM's I should run my 225 Johnson for say a 1 hour duration. I usually cruise around 4500 but if I'm trying to out run a storm what could I run for an hour or so.

    Fuel cuts out at 5000 RPM

    I have a 1986 Johnson 225 That has had the VRO removed. It starves for fuel at 5000 RPM. I brought it to an authorized Johnson dealer who rebuilt all 6 carbs and replaced both fuel pumps. The motor runs great but still only to 5000 RPM. He changed all fiters tightened all connections, same...
