    Mercury 500 50hp throttle issue

    Hello - I've got a 1967 Merc 500 50 hp. New to me. There is full throttle in reverse but only about half throttle in forward. Everything appears adjusted ok - what's the problem?

    Hello everybody - great site! looking for a little help please - I have a new to me 1967 Mercury 500 50 hp 4 cyl motor and I need to check the water pump / impeller. How in the heck do I get the lower unit off? Thanks !!
