    1989 70HP Merc pops back Back fires) lightly only once and awhile while idling

    I have a 1989 70HP 3cyl Mercury outboard Once and a while I have blow back from the manifolds outlet to fuel pump and a light backfire occurs during idling. The engine runs great from putting to full speed . I am wondering what this about ?
