    1980 Mercruiser 228 (Chevy 305) - no power steering?

    Hello, I just picked up an old Glastron CVX-18 with a Mercruiser 228 engine. I took it out on the lake today and it didn't seem like the power steering was working at all. It takes a lot of muscle to get the outdrive to turn. Where do I start troubleshooting this? Thanks! -Mike

    Stringer OMC 400 - Drive Stuck in Down Position

    Hello, I have a 1979 Stringer 400 3.0 that's stuck in the "trimmed down" position. When I flip the switch to trim up, I can hear the sound of the motor spinning but the drive doesn't budge. How would I begin to troubleshoot this? Is there a manual release for moving the drive up? Thanks, -Mike
