    Assembly of lower unit onto the arm

    When I reassenble the lower unit onto the arm, should I put some grease on the upper end of the drive shaft? When I took it apart it was dry, no oil of grease.

    Does water out of the prop mean trouble?

    I tested a newly purchaced 1976 Evinrude 35 with ear muffs and noticed water comming out of the prop. Does that mean that the water pump gaskets are bad? I pulled the lower unit off to replace the empeller and the gaskets loked fine. What could be the problem?

    77 evinrude runs at half power

    I bought this boat and motor reciently and took it out for the first time. It had not been ran in 7 years. The motor started fine, but after about an hour the engine began to chug and run at about half power. Also I dont know what gas mixture to use for this motoe. Thoughts?
