Background:
I bought a very nice 1990 larson senza 210 because it had a cracked block and exhaust manifolds. Came with 350 mag and alpha 1 outdrive. Boat only has 102 original hours. I got a remanufactured long block and am going back together with things currently.
An interesting part that...
I'm going to look at an 18.5' 1998 bayliner capri (I know the stigma), but the price seems right and I'm thinking about stealing some parts off it and parting it out. The interior is in below average shape with upholstery showing weather and pulled seams. I bet there is rot even though the guy...
Had problems with shifting and talked to a mechanic who said I likely didn't have the washer on on the lower shift shaft bushing. He was right. Replaced the washer and put the halves back together. Now when trying to put the outdrive on the boat I swear that intermediate shaft boot sits too...
Background Info:
My boat has a 175hp 262 4.3L v6 and an alpha 1 gen one (1990). My yoke/carrier seal started leaking the last trip out to the lake and got gear lube in the bellows and the bilge area. I have the clymer manual for my boat and have done a lot of outside reading about doing that...
