    How to replace the coils on my 1972 johnson 6hp

    I recently had a friend look at my out board and after trying to tune it up. We found out that the coils need to be replaced since they are not giving off enough spark. So how do i go about this?

    Why can't my 1972 Johnson 6hp has no top end throttle?

    What i am trying to say is i can get it started which may take every bit of ten min or so. But after i do i can't get it to go above mid throttle without dying.
